About Red Roses Green Gold

Musical With Songs by Jerry Garcia & Robert Hunter

"Deadheads, be grateful," "The New York Times" trumpets, because Jerry Garcia's timeless tunes set the perfect tone for the new musical "Red Roses, Green Gold". Set in 1920s Cumberland, this fantastical tale tells the comical story of Jackson Jones and his family of swindlers. As the wayward crew gambles its way to love and riches, you'll hear the fruits of Garcia's musical collaborations with lyricist Robert Hunter. The production also features contributions from the late guitarist's pals Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, plus keyboardist and longtime Dead touring member Jeff Chimenti serves as the show's music supervisor. "Red Roses, Green Gold" delivers an Americana-meets-psychedelia trip at New York's Minetta Lane Theatre.
