About "Amerike: The Golden Land"

Yiddish-Language Musical "Amerike: The Golden Land"

Walk a musical mile in the shoes of an immigrant trying to come to terms with the life they left behind and struggling to adjust to a new home in "Amerike: The Golden Land", from the associate producer of the Tony-winning "Indecent". Now coming to the National Yiddish Theatre at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, his heartfelt show recreates the New York Jewish experience of the Lower East Side and outer boroughs through real-life stories and a score filled with the era's popular songs. Written by two-time Tony nominees Moishe Rosenfeld and Zalmen Mlotek, a prior production of the show was a Drama Desk Award nominee and was dubbed "a love letter to America" by "The New York Times". It's performed in Yiddish with English and Russian supertitles.
