My inspiration for Sicilian comfort food starts with my family. Growing up Sicilian is like no other experience. My parents and grandparents always had me in the kitchen helping them out prepping dishes for holidays and other celebrations. From a young age, I was always taught the importance of a sharing a meal with my family. I would like to take these traditions and share them with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Sicily is not quite like any other place on earth. The food and culture there are worlds different then that of mainland Italy and Europe. The ingredients used in Sicily are mostly farm to table. Dishes range from sheeps head stuffed with breadcrumb and cheese to swordfish with couscous. Thats the beauty of it. It is so diverse. It is a cuisine of the world.
