Summer Saturday 2017: Art Demos, Exhibition Tours and Live Folk Music

The American Folk Art Museum makes summer in the Big Apple extra fun for the whole family with an entire day of free music, tours and live art demos. "Summer Saturday" is an afternoon dedicated to the folk arts, with folk singer-songwriter performances throughout the day. In between sets, guided exhibition tours give visitors an in-depth look at artists Carlo Zinelli and Eugen Gabritschevsky. Take a break from the music to enjoy live art demonstrations by wood carvers, jewelry makers, and an artist who draws on tambourines -- The pieces will be on sale at the museum shop, which will offering a 10% discount (20% for museum members) throughout the duration of the event.
