Since the '70s, Mark O'Connor has been one of the go-to fiddlers on the bluegrass scene. When it comes time for legendary pickers like Tony Rice, David Grisman, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush and Béla Fleck to assemble their bands, cut an album or jam at a festival, O'Connor gets the call. But this three-time Grammy winner also composes and arranges classical and jazz, including on a couple crossover albums with Yo-Yo Ma and Edgar Meyer. With his most recent project, The O'Connor Band, this virtuoso and his talented family come together on songs that draw on bluegrass and folk instrumentation and harmonies while adding modern pop sensibilities. Their debut album, "Coming Home", hit No. 1 on Billboard's Bluegrass Albums chart and won the 2017 Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album.
