Lukas Papenfusscline

A folksinger hailing from Northern California, Lukas Papenfusscline makes use of his background in classical, jazz, and traditional music to recompose conventional folk songs with fresh harmony, adapted stories, and soaring vocal lines. His hauntingly beautiful recomposed folk music draws from the Lomax recordings and the Appalachian folk tradition, but also brings a new and original sound to these timeless tunes. As well as playing guitar, banjo and harmonium, Lukas also pushes the boundaries of performance practice by delving into his abilities as both an actor and director of theatre.
