I/O, Tree River, Faster Than Light

Post-rock band based out of Brooklyn


Originally begun as a duo between college roommates Trevor Friedman and Phil Cohen, Tree River self-released their debut Inward in December 2014, a lush yet heavy work which borrowed images of the natural world to explore love and philosophy. The band expanded to a four-piece, adding drummer Serge Terentev and bassist Julie Rozansky, for their sophomore album Dark Matter, produced and mixed by Greg Dunn of Moving Mountains and featuring guest vocals from Weatherbox frontman Brian Warren. With Dark Matter, Tree River debut a more confident and dynamic sound, filled with knotty, intricate guitars, earth-shattering drums and alternatingly tender and triumphant vocals from a singer that has truly found his voice. Dark Matter is a heart-pounding record that paints vivid dreamscapes, narrates stories of adventure and emotion, and launches the listener out into a profound and exciting universe.


Than Light is the brainchild of composer and guitarist Nate Jasensky. With a blend of styles that is always changing, Faster Than Light is loud, fast, and face melting. Get ready to move your body.
