Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival, Featuring Stephen Inglis, Ian OSullivan, Danny Carvalho, Chris Lau

After 33 years of success in Hawaii on all of the islands, the Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival comes to New York City for a concert at SubCulture. The festival will feature known artists in the genre including past Grammy Award Nominees Stephen Inglis and Danny Carvalho and Hoku Award Nominee Ian OSullivan. Another past Grammy Award Nominee may also join the lineup. The festival is coming off sold out shows at Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA., the Hult Center in Eugene, Oregon; the Alberta-Rose Theater in Portland, Oregon and the Carco Theater in Seattle, WA. The festival was selected as 1 of 50 “Must Attend” Road Shows in America today by Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Slack Key Guitar is an art form that is 186 years old that began in Hawaii in 1830 and continues to evolve today with performance around the world.
