Inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame in 2014, the French Cookin' Blues Band may be based in New York, but their music would be right at home on Bourbon Street. Their sound was influenced by a variety of styles, spanning from the Delta to Chicago, back down to Texas and the "second lines" of Louisiana. But they add their own unique touch to everything, performing a new take on this vital American art form. The band also plays an extensive selection of original titles that take the genre in a more contemporary direction -- one that's always firmly rooted in the blues, of course.
