Demir Demirkan Album Release Concert

After studying English Literature and Humanities in Ankara, Demir Demirkan moved to Los Angeles and studied at the world renowned Musician’s Institute. Returning to Istanbul in 1996, he produced, wrote songs, composed orchestral music for TV and Film while pursuing his singer/songwriter/guitarist albums and stage work.

He appeared on several Future films and TV Shows as he is an established veteran rock-star/multi talented musician and an artist. Their partnership in love and music, with singer/musician Sertab Erener for over 15 years has placed them on highly cherished celebrity couple status in Turkey.

Apart from his solo career, he formed the band Painted on Water. He had made the debut album of Painted On Water collaborating with musicians like, Dave Weckl, Trilok Gurtu, Alan Pasqua, Al Dimeola and Kai Eckhart. He tours with Painted On Water in USA and Europe.

Keeping up with producing, composing for Film and TV and his solo performances, Demir Demirkan continues with his band Painted On Water in USA and Europe. He is collaborating with Sertab Erener and David H. Bell on a musical score to be staged in 2015 in USA.
