Cape Francis, Adam Melchor

Cape Francis is a new project by singer-songwriter Kevin Olken Henthorn (former lead singer of Stone Cold Fox). The project formed out of the collapse of a four-year indie pop rock band. Tired of heavy genre constrictions, Henthorn started Cape Francis looking to break away from traditional indie rock songwriting. Rooted in finger picked guitar, grounded by percussion and toms, and glued together by synth pads and hooks, the songs find a home somewhere in between folk and post-rock.


Adam Melchor is a 24 year old recording artist from New Jersey. In his debut EP The Archer, Adam weaves intensely personal lyrics with colloquial melody to create a vivid yet vulnerable narrative. Carried by his folk guitar playing and impressive vocals, the songs showcase a musical empathy rare for an artist of Adam???s age and comparable to contemporaries like M. Ward or Conor Oberst.

The 5 song EP includes the singles "Brook Revisited" and "The Archer. It is emotive, stark, and often apologetic. But out of a confession booth turned vocal booth, Adam has created a cathartic and auspicious debut album.

1st single "Brook Revisited" out Feb 24. 2nd single "The Archer" is out March 17. Full EP is out March 31.
