About Brett Harris

Brett Harris is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based in Durham, NC. Emerging on the scene with a collection of songs honed on a hand-me-down tape recorder, Brett began playing shows along the East Coast; winning over fans with engaging performances, hook laden melodies, and an unforgettable voice. His 2010 debut LP Man of Few Words made several “best of” lists and was featured by Paste Magazine and NPR’s All Songs Considered/ Second Stage.

Since that time, Brett has been involved in numerous live and recorded projects, including serving as a touring member of jangle pop progenitors The dB’s and taking part in live performances of Big Star’s Third at SXSW and the Americana Music Festival as well as in New York, London, Barcelona, and Sydney, performing alongside legendary artists such as Michael Stipe of R.E.M., Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, and Ray Davies of The Kinks. Brett has recently completed work on a follow up LP due out later this year.
