About "Bar Car Nights"

"Bar Car Nights": Adults-Only Viewing of "Holiday Train Show"

One of New York's most exciting seasonal outings, "Bar Car Nights" is on track for another exciting year. Enjoy an adult evening after hours at the wondrous "Holiday Train Show" exhibition with a complimentary cocktail, ice-carving demonstrations under the starlight, festive treats available for purchase from Frosty's Schnapps' Haus, a new Bavarian-themed outdoor dining space, and an intimate jazz performance set in the warmth of the Pine Tree Café. You'll also have the chance to see playful performances of Cirque de Light as you stroll Perennial Garden Way. The traditional "Holiday Train Show" gets rolling inside the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory and features model trains zipping over bridges and past replicas of New York landmarks made of plant parts such as nuts, bark, leaves and pine cones. Show favorites include re-creations of the original Yankee Stadium, the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. And this year's "Holiday Train Show" features 3,000 square feet of additional exhibition space, with dozens of new trains, bridges and tracks, plus a short behind-the-scenes film and a stunning finale of light and sound. These special 21-and-older evenings allow you to get into the holiday spirit in a grown-up atmosphere under the magical glow of thousands of twinkling lights -- it's perfect for date night or a festive group outing.
